SALES ASSISTANT MANAGER (SAM)
Reports to: STORE MANAGER
Summary/Objective
The Sales Assistant Manager positively impacts customer growth and revenue and ensures growth is maintained at an appropriate level through sales activities, file setup and total customer satisfaction. This role helps manage profit by following established policies and procedures including, but not limited to, cash and inventory controls and order verifications. The Sales Assistant Manager accomplishes these in a way that is consistent with Eclipse RTO’s mission statement and core values.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The SALES ASSISTANT MANAGER will:
Be responsible for Customer and Revenue growth/maintenance
Meet daily and weekly sales & growth standards
Greet and assist customers on the sales floor
Obtain new rental orders on the sales floor and over the phone
Respond to Web Orders within one business hour
Complete rental agreements as required
Prospect for new business by daily marketing and distributing print materials
Keep coworkers informed of promotions and products
Collect customer payments on a timely basis
Complete customer service calls in a timely manner as assigned
Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to all standards
Assist Store Manager with training and providing oversight in absence of Store Manager
Assign coworkers to specific duties and assist with work schedule assignments
Assist in managing daily operations when necessary
Become subject matter expert of any and all product knowledge on sales lineup
Refurbish merchandise to like new condition
Keep showroom and all store areas neat, clean and organized, including vacuuming, dusting, and handling household cleaning materials
Required Education and Experience
Must be at least 23 years of age
High school diploma or GED 1 – 3 years of retail/customer service or sales
Valid California state driver’s license and good driving record
